A policy for the people, with the people

Dear fellow citizens,

A few weeks ago, I was able to introduce you to the 6 women and 6 men who are running together with me on the LSAP list for the local elections on 11 June 2023.

We then presented you with the results of our work over the past five and a half years, in which we have succeeded, despite difficult conditions, in realising many of the ideas and projects we presented to you in 2017.

Before you decide in a few days’ time which party will be responsible for our municipality for the next six years, we would like to present to you today our electoral programme for the next legislative period. This electoral programme is based both on our experience in the management of our municipality and on the desire of the 13 candidates of the LSAP, the mayor’s team, to continue to invest and commit themselves to our commune, our villages and their inhabitants.

We want to continue to do politics for the people, with the people, we want to continue to create, to commit ourselves to coexistence and living together and to constantly improve the quality of life in our “Roeserbann”. This programme is therefore not a standard text, printed by the party headquarters, which can be applied almost unchanged in all 100 municipalities, but has been discussed, developed for our municipality and its inhabitants by our candidates in cooperation with interested citizens over the past months.

As Socialists of Roeserbann, we want to continue to pursue a municipal policy that is close to the people, humane, progressive and social - to move our municipality forward in the priority areas of school, children and youth, environment, climate and energy, as well as housing policy, and to continue to work together with you for Roeserbann.

I am personally still very motivated as mayor and I am already looking forward to implementing the present election programme together with my 12 LSAP colleagues in the coming years, provided that you continue to place your trust in us.

For this to be possible, we need a strong LSAP in the local council. That is why I invite you, on behalf of my team, to renew your confidence in us on 11 June 2023 by voting for list 1. The easiest way to do this is to make a cross above the LSAP list or to divide your 13 votes between the candidates on our list.
